About:Wyld and Sacred
Wyld and Sacred is a mirror for the parts of women's red thread that feels denied, shamed, punished, blocked and disconnected.Wyld deriving from 'Wild", the part of us that is nature; the trees, herbs, sky, rivers, rocks and soil; the part that is of, and deeply rooted in, our earthly home and earthy being; the part of us that is nourished by, and supported with, materials and food created from the elements.Sacred is the part that is unseen, mysterious, unique to each person yet has similar threads interwoven into every living creature; the part of us that know we are holy from conception and from birth; that we are deserving of rituals on our day to day lives to acknowledge and honour the life that flows through us.

Jackie,
Your coach
Hello fellow wildling,
I'm a Menstrual Cycle Coach who help women connect with their cycles and bodies with a mindful and earth-centred approach.I may be 'certified' through a certain lineage and teaching through Cyclical School, yet my journey as a cyclical being, as someone who bleeds monthly, as a human living in a woman-body, has been meandering long before training as a Menstrual Cycle Coach, and continues to unfold in mysterious, beautiful and challenging ways.
My initiation into
Menstrual Cycle Awareness:
I began my first period ("menarche") at the age of 10.
It would still be another ten years before I would begin to start paying attention to my menstrual cycle beyond knowing I have a period every month and that it comes with pain, anxiety and fatigue, and all sorts of cycle "symptoms".Then another six years of self-study, numerous discussions, and self-experimentation before I would become a certified Menstrual Cycle Coach and begin to consider the possibility that I could not only live a deeply honouring, grateful, intimate relationship with my cycle, while also earning a livelihood from the passion that was sparked from years of pain, discomfort, loneliness and disconnect.I read Alisa Vitti's work on Cycle Syncing; learnt about the magic and beauty of Menstrual Cycle Awareness from Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer's Book Wild Power and Red School; I discovered about Sacred Menstruation and earth-based apporaches to Cyclical Living from Jane Hardwicke Collings' work.Alongside practicing cycle tracking (apps and on paper); planning and scheduling my life around my menstrual cycle; exploring how certain foods eaten in general or at certain cycle phases affected me; swapped to organic pads and tampons; tried Menstrual cups; practicing rituals such as offering my period blood to the earth; mapping my somatic experience at any given phase; exploring natural pain relief for my period pain, and so much more. This eventually lead me to studying through Cyclical School in 2023.There are three main reasons I became a Menstrual Cycle Coach:1. I wanted to learn more about the Menstrual Cycle to deepen my own awareness of my body, and my understanding of what this part of my life truly meant beyond just the biological definitions and processes (these are important too, yet not the only piece). Menstrual Cycle Awareness and Education combined with a held space with an experienced teacher felt a curious thread to explore.2. I realised the pain and discomforts I'd felt in my own cycle aren't just unique to me; they are everywhere, and more women and menstruators experience them that I'd ever imagined. I wanted to be able to offer spaces for others to learn how they can have meaningful and vibrant relationships with their bodies, cycles and lives in general. As I've mentioned before: the menstrual cycle affects every aspect of life, and every aspect of life affects the menstrual cycle. It was becoming strikingly clear to me that more support and offerings around holistic women's health was needed.3. After years of working casual jobs as a waitress, au pair/nanny, retail, and numerous work exchanges on farms, intentional communities and homesteads, I felt it was time to gift myself the opportunity to create my own schedule, create a livelihood rooted in purpose and service, and honour the needs of my cycle (aka resting during my period). This is a currently a work in progress, yet a fruitful and meaningful one so far.
The journey continues
to unfold in mysterious ways
I hold deep love for practices and approaches that are rooted in earth connection and earth care; in herbal allies and plant medicines; in intuitive dance and sacred songs; that enhance and deepen human relationships; that tenderise the heart while also building courage and resilience; that tend to one's curiosity and play; that reminds us of the simple yet fundamental truths - for the individual, as well as the collective. These all inform my Menstrual Cycle Coaching practice and offerings; part of the foundations you could say.I have traversed in different countries exploring intentional communities, spiritual practices, and earth-based approaches while navigating the challenging terrain that being a cyclical woman can be in today's modern world. I continue to be a student of life, and my path is as imperfectly wonderful and challenging as anyone's.
